SUMMER WEDDING AT WOOD ACRES FARM IN TERRYVILLE, CT | SHANNON & DYLAN

There are "farm weddings", and then there are farm weddings like this one captured by Meghan Cormier - Instagram: @meghanannimagery. A wedding that defines timeless and understated elegance, hosted in a place where charm is bursting at the seams. Any way you look at it, farm weddings are always awesome! Especially farm weddings like this one, that somehow manage to be laid back and causal, yet boast some of the most stunning colorful florals, chic bridal fashion, and rustic details I've ever seen. When I heard that this wedding was planned at a charmer of a venue like this one by the couple themselves, I knew that I was dealing with two very special people. Two special people that were sent to me by a lovely photographer named Justine Koester-Hoben - Instagram: @justinekhphotography who I had the pleasure of working with once before in Greenwich, RI. Justine's friend Shannon was about to get hitched and I fell in love with her style and bubbly personality! Needless to say, you will need to check out the gallery to see how everything turned out to be!

THE LOVE STORY

Shannon and Dylan went to high school together and reconnected years later at a friend's party. Dylan lived in CA at the time while Shannon was home visiting friends and family. She eventually ended up moving back and the rest is history!

THE PROPOSAL STORY

"Dylan planned to propose on Christmas day but we ended up having a great time with family while drinking so he waited until the next day. The next day came and he attached the ring to my dog Jack's harness and he ran up to me and that’s when I saw it!" - Shannon, Bride

INSPIRATION BEHIND SHANNON & DYLAN'S WEDDING DAY

"We wanted something natural and simple!" - Shannon, Bride

specialty flowers and fillers that were utilized in these wedding arrangements were coral sunset peonies, butterfly ranunculus, clematis, willow eucalyptus, astilbe, tweedia, pink peonies, white and blue delphinium, ferns, garden roses, pistachia greens, jasmine vine, privet, lisianthus, and moon lagoon
