PRIDE & PREJUDICE-INSPIRED STYLING SHOOT AT EOLIA MANSION WITH GYPSY LEMON | COLLABORATION

It was early December and a DM popped into my inbox. A lovely photographer by the name of Kayla, based out of Florida and originally from CT, said she coming home for the holidays. She liked my work on Instagram and wanted to know if I had any styling shoots planned. I love meeting new vendors and quite often I jump at the opportunity to work with them. She was down to earth and kind; and after marveling over her photographs online; there was no way that I could have said no! From there we swapped contact info and I gathered together a team of professionals. I couldn't wait to get started. Kayla's vision for the shoot was romantic Pride and Prejudice vibes. She took inspiration from Eolia Mansion and the old world Victorian era. She wanted florals to feel like an old English tea party and a vintage wedding ceremony with a modern twist. We incorporated, an antique gathering basket and dainty details to make one feel as if they were in the movie. We chose Eolia Mansion at Harkness State Park for its iconic garden and pillar structures. The florals were a big part of her vision and we based everything off of Kayla's desired color palette. We worked with Christina Corley from Cherished Events and Designs and Anthropologie of Westport to liven up the shoot. We can't forget about our hair and makeup team who knocked it out of the park! My girl, Meghan Summa from HairstylesCo. and Lorna Pulver from Lorna Made Me Blush equally and artfully made Suz our gorgeous model look like she was meant for the English countryside! Lastly, I just want to thank each and every vendor who pulled off this amazing end-of-the-year styling shoot and for coming out the day after Christmas to meet Kayla! It was a great way to end the year and I thoroughly enjoyed myself!

specialty flowers and fillers that were utilized in these styling shoot arrangements were moab roses, leucadendron jubilee crown, amnesia, palms, lisianthus, rice flower, hypericum berry peach, freesia, tweedia, spiral eucalyptus, leucadendron ayoba start pearl, phlebodium blue star, pistachia, pieris japonica purity, white tulips, scabiosa, garden roses, pheasant feathers, larkspur, and persimmon
