PANTONE COLOR OF THE YEAR 2024 STYLING SHOOT WITH EMILY McCOLL | COLLABORATION


As I anxiously awaited for the spring wedding season to begin, an E-mail dropped into my inbox. A sweet photographer by the name of Emily, was referred to me by my dear friend Becca Walker - Instagram: @rebeccawalkerphotography. Emily was interested in collaborating on a styling shoot featuring the 25th Pantone Color of the Year! Every year, professionals predict the color they think will be the most popular the following calendar year and I was thrilled when they picked Peach Fuzz! The Pantone Color Institute originally created the Pantone Color of the Year in 1999 to engage in global design communities and color enthusiasts, sparking conversations about the cultural significance of color. The institute describes 'Peach Fuzz' as a "velvety gentle peach tone whose all-embracing spirit enriches the mind, body, and soul" (which is perfect for wedding florists like me hoping to find rejuvenation in their green spaces). Peach has been one of my go-to colors since day one and I'm definitely not mad about it! From annuals to perennials to shrubs, bushes, and more—most greenery and filler match this dreamy hue. Here's to the 2024 color of the year and a look into Emily McColl Photography's vision and what she dreamt up with this color skew!
