A GREEN & WHITE CLASSIC WINTER WEDDING AT BILL MILLER'S CASTLE | KIM & PATRICK
There are three things that make me fall in love with weddings: flowers, the photography, and the venue. Those were my top three things when planning my own wedding. The church space might be etched in stone for the ceremony but the reception venue is what stands out and speaks to your own personal style (especially if you can get married and celebrate all in one place). As for this magical fête, Bill Miller's Castle, was it for Kim and Patrick where I met them at a walk-through, and taste testing event a year earlier.
Full of charm and elegance, Bill Miller's Castle was the perfect setting for both the ceremony and reception space where Kim and Patrick exchanged vows by the stone fireplace. The fusion of green and white colors set the stage for an unforgettable classic celebration. From the moment the guests entered the ceremony, to the last dance of the evening, every detail was carefully curated and perfectly displayed.
Congratulations Kim and Patrick! It was truly a day to remember!
THE LOVE STORY
Kim and Patrick met at Hofstra University—though they were more acquaintances through mutual friends. Six years later, prior to Kim's final year in law school, they reconnected and began dating in August of 2018. They moved into their first apartment in Manchester in September 2019 and adopted Dexter, their dog-child, a few months later.
THE PROPOSAL STORY
“Patrick told me that were were going to his family's house to take a professional group family photo. There were several inconsistencies that continuously frustrated me, including why his sisters did not seem to have a clear picture of what the outfit color scheme should be and could not helpfully advise me on what I should wear. My brother and his partner spent the night prior at our apartment and we played board games. The next morning, they were supposed to bring Dexter our dog to my mother's house. Instead, my brother hid in his car with my dog while his partner and a photographer, got into position. It was 100 degrees and humid outside and I had just straightened my hair for this ‘photo-op’. Instead of making a beeline for the air-conditioned car, Patrick frustratingly insists on walking me out to the rail trail behind our apartment to "show me the new mural being painted" even though we were running 15 minutes late. I was beginning to sweat, ruining my photo outfit. Before we got anywhere near any discernible "mural" Patrick dropped to a knee and proposed. Out of my peripheral I saw Jamie, the photographer extraordinaire, ambushing us from the tree line snapping pics of the moment. We then proceeded to a gathering of both of our immediate families to celebrate the day." - Kim, Bride
specialty flowers and fillers that were utilized in these wedding arrangements were pinecones, pine, eucalyptus pods, white amarnthus, phlebodium blue star, blue thistle, pussy willow snowflake, cincerea eucalyptus, spiral eucalyptus, pistachia, rose spray vivianne, and white delphinium
