A NEW ENGLAND WINTER WEDDING COMPLETE WITH PURPLE DETAILS | AMANDA & RJ

You guessed it! We are back with another winter wedding at Bill Miller's Castle complete with all the purple details! From the prettiest snow fall to a gorgeous castle and POP's of purple everywhere, even the most ardent summer lovers will find themselves dreaming of the snugness of winter! These gorgeously stunning photographs taken by Garret Ward Photography will certainly help too! With a drop dead gorgeous David's Bridal gown complemented by lush furs and dreamy florals from Loreta Daka Floral Boutique, every moment of this crisp winter day is pure perfection! Historically speaking, [purple] is one of the colors of royalty, and this Connecticut affair is pretty enough to be a royal wedding! For those of you reading, it took place in a castle after all! Every detail of this day exudes luxury. You won't want to miss it! 😉 Congratulations Amanda and RJ! Wishing you both the happiest wedding day!

THE LOVE STORY

Amanda and Robert (RJ) met on the dating app, Bumble, and have been together ever since! They moved in together in 2020, with their two cats; treating them as if they are their own children. They bonded over music and enjoyed going to many concerts! They love to eat at new restaurants; trying new foods, as they are both avid foodies, and are always up for an adventure!

THE PROPOSAL STORY

"RJ took me to Topsmead State Park in Litchfield, CT (where we had our second date), in September of 2022. He told me we were meeting friends there to hike, but then he brought me over into the garden and proposed. Turns out, he had my best friend in on it the whole time, hiding in the bushes to take pictures and to celebrate with us the same night!" - Amanda, Bride

INSPIRATION BEHIND AMANDA & RJ'S WEDDING DAY

"We always knew that we wanted to have a winter wedding with a unique venue. We fell in love with Bill Miller's Castle, which we both agreed didn't need much decorating as it was already so beautiful. Also, being in February, we didn't have too many flowers in mind for the wedding day. I love wildflowers (I know there is not a lot of options for the winter to choose from), but I have never been into traditional, uniform arrangements. Our wedding colors are dark purple (plum or aubergine; according to the bridesmaid's dresses), and dark gray (charcoal suits). I designed our wedding invitations and signature drink sign with a color scheme that I have been envisioning for a really long time. I think the color purple will tie in nicely with the overall design of the dresses and the suits, and to all the accents around the castle." - Amanda, Bride

specialty flowers and fillers that were utilized in these wedding arrangements were anemone, ranunculus, sweet peas, clematis, astrantia, tulips, evergreens, parviflora, kochia scoparia, ochoa scoparia, allium, neapolitanum, silver brunia, lisianthus, salvia, willow eucalyptus, cincereas eucalyptus, bohemia black velvet lisianthus, and blue lagoon
